Bella Vista

This was our second year in a row staying here. The hotel is very close to the beach, with a small parking area out front and a larger one uphill by the main road, about 50m away. Everyone was polite and ready to help with anything we asked. Our room was nice and clean, and we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner. There’s a small pool on floor -1 and a gym, though we didn’t try them. The roof terrace on the fifth floor is a nice place to relax and let the kids play. The price was very affordable, especially given the current cost of accommodation in Croatia. It may not suit you if you’re after luxury, but for a pleasant, affordable, stress-free holiday with kids, we’d definitely recommend it.

The rooms were comfortable, and housekeeping came every day and cleaned well. The staff were kind and did as much as they could to help. The food was okay, and the hotel itself was good. Just a tip: don’t leave inflatables beside the other inflatables. Someone stole our air mattress once.

We were on a guided holiday and had no choice about the hotel. Avoid it like the plague. The food was atrocious, actually inedible, and the manager was truly horrid. One person there was fantastic, though: Ivan, the bartender, was a shining light in an awful gloom. P.S. We’ve given feedback to our holiday company, Newmarket Holidays, and strongly suggested they move hotels in Drvenik. I have no idea how Hotel Bella Vista got 4 stars.

The location is the best thing about this hotel, and the lobby is good too. The service was good, though not very good, and some workers were especially good. My room smelled kind of weird and could have been better. I’d still recommend the hotel, but it’s gone downhill since I was here about 2 years ago. Back then it was an easy 5 star, now I’d give it 4 stars.
