Apartment Harmony

Harmony is tucked away in the far northwest corner at the top of the old town, so you might not know it was there unless someone told you. The apartment has an amazing feel, and Daniela, the owner, pays close attention to making it beautiful, welcoming, and comfortable. I stayed in another apartment she managed in the hills above Dubrovnik. When I mentioned I didn't know what to do with the bitter oranges we'd picked at her cousin's old town apartment, she said within minutes she'd buy a juice maker, then dropped one off at the apartment nearly an hour later. That's how responsive she is to guests. Any time, day or night, she answers questions quickly, or finds someone who can. The design and art work are lovely, and the interior is tastefully decorated, like something from a luxury apartment publication. The bed, sheets, and pillows are super comfortable. I also loved the mugs handcrafted by her friend in Belgium, which you can buy if you want. The kitchen has everything you need, including a coffee/Nespresso machine and full-size refrigerator. It's a hidden gem among all the accommodation, at most a three-minute walk from the heart of old town. Just know there are a lot of steps up to it, at least 100. That's Dubrovnik, though, and part of its charm. Google asks why it was excellent, and that's hard to put into words, but I hope this explains it. I'm looking forward to coming back and seeing what new touches Daniela has added. It really is a harmonious experience!
