We spent three nights here in April, on our first trip to Dubrovnik, and really liked being right in the old town. The historic lanes, bars, and restaurants were all close, and the apartment had a lovely view over the square by the cathedral. It was comfortable and well equipped. The owner also suggested a private city walking tour, which we enjoyed and thought was well worth doing. The bar downstairs was noisy early in the morning, which is why I'm giving four stars. It's something to be aware of, though it shouldn't put you off.
