Milan met us at the apartment and was friendly and helpful. He gave us recommendations, brought laundry detergent, and showed us how to use the washing machine. The studio is self-contained, spacious, and above the Old Town, with a sea view. It has a comfortable king-sized bed made from two singles together, a sofa, table and chairs, kitchen area, and a separate bathroom with great hot water in the shower. The Dubrovnik cable car entrance and the airport shuttle bus stop are directly across the road. It's about a 10-minute walk down to the gorgeous medieval walled old town, though Dubrovnik is hilly and there are lots of steps. If you're doing the wall walk, which is a highlight, we recommend the Dubrovnik pass. The day pass costs about the same as the wall walk and fort by themselves, and includes monasteries and museums in the old town. If you're staying several days, you could take the bus to Cavtat one way and return by ferry from the Old Town harbour. Make sure you catch the bus to Cavtat outside the apartment, since the street is one-way and the return bus takes a different route. You can also take the ferry both ways.
