We spent five days here, my daughter and I. The owners gave us such a warm welcome and helped arrange airport transfers and other things. The apartment was tastefully furnished and had what we needed for a pleasant holiday. Lapad Bay, with its restaurants and lovely swimming spots, is close by. Five stars.

The apartment itself has all the basics: the shower was fine, and there’s a washing machine, stove, and fridge. The neighborhood is nice, but I chose this place based on the reviews and felt a little misled about where it is. Getting to the lively part of the neighborhood on foot isn’t easy because the apartment is up on a hill. Dubrovnik is mostly hills, of course, but arriving without a car wasn’t ideal. We ended up relying on Uber. We visited in the European summer, when it averaged 34°C, so walking around was almost impossible. We have no other complaints. The Old Town is about 10 minutes away by Uber. I didn’t take the bus, since Uber cost the same as two bus tickets when I visited. There’s no bus stop right outside, so you’ll need to walk a bit.
