Apartments Muminovic

We spent two nights here with three people. The apartment was spacious, the view was amazing, and the host welcomed us when we arrived. There were a few furry friends around the place, and they were super friendly. It’s at the very end of a hilly road, with a short walk from the parking lot. The only bad part was the hot water. It ran out every time someone showered, so the other two of us had to wait a long time for the heater to warm it back up. Apart from that, we had a good experience.

I’m a seasoned traveller, and this was the worst host and most disgraceful service I’ve encountered. The listing gave check-in hours of 2 pm to 10 pm. On the day we were due to arrive, our flight to Dubrovnik International Airport was suddenly delayed until midnight. I called the host, a man, that afternoon, and he said it was no problem and he’d see us when we got there. After landing, I called to confirm we’d arrived. He then said it was too late, that he lived 30 minutes away and needed to sleep, and that we couldn’t come. When I pointed out our earlier conversation and said it would be hard to find somewhere else, he hung up. Panicked, I booked emergency accommodation elsewhere in Dubrovnik and messaged him on Agoda Chat to say his actions were disgraceful and completely at odds with what he’d told me. After 30 minutes of silence, he sent the key access code through Agoda Chat and asked for passport photos. By then I’d booked somewhere else and was disgusted by how he’d acted, so I didn’t check in and asked Agoda for a full refund. He refused, calling it a “No Show.” He also said on Agoda Chat that if I’d been more polite, he would have sent the after-hours code promptly, even though he’d told me on the phone not to come. He then told Agoda that my English was hard to understand, even though I was born in Australia and English is my native language. Later he changed his story, saying English wasn’t his first language and he couldn’t understand me on the phone. That was despite his long, grammatically perfect Agoda Chat messages refusing the refund. After many angry phone calls, Agoda agreed to give me voucher credit, while the host kept the money. TL;DR: HOST SCAMMED ME OVER LATE CHECK-IN. DO NOT BOOK.

The room was stuffy and smelled bad, and the apartment was in very poor shape when we got it. Old towels were left all over the place, and the bed linen and covers were cheap, dirty, and looked like they hadn’t been washed in a while. The host was rude and offensive when I shared feedback about our stay. The worst host and service I’ve ever had. I strongly do not recommend it.

The terrace view is amazing, and the apartment had everything we needed. The bus stop is just a three-minute walk away, and line 3 goes to the old town. I recommend staying here in Dubrovnik. 5/5.
