Apartments Villa Peragro

Karolina was an incredible host, and the apartment was clean and comfortable. Villa Peragro made a great base for seeing Dubrovnik. We liked being somewhere quiet, away from the Old Town bustle, while still being able to get there very easily by taxi.

The views are spectacular, and Karolina was great with all her recommendations. Sunset Beach is a 10-minute walk away, and the bus into the old town takes about 10 minutes. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Karolina is a perfect host. She gave us great tips when we arrived and seems to have thought of everything. We stayed three days but could easily have spent a week or two here. If we return to Croatia, we’d book again without looking elsewhere. She and her husband should be proud of what they’ve built for guests. The villa has big rooms, comfortable beds, good air conditioning, lovely bathrooms, and a small kitchen with a seating area in each apartment. There’s a beautiful pool, an air conditioned, well equipped gym, laundry and drying machines, a barbecue area and a seating terrace for each apartment. It’s a great spot for getting around Dubrovnik. Lapad, Sunset Beach and its restaurant strip are a 15-minute walk one way; the old town is a 30-minute walk the other way, or you can catch buses every 10 minutes from a stop two minutes from the villa. Uber is cheap too. The marina is six minutes on foot, with bars and restaurants and the Karaka pirate ship cruise to three islands. That full day trip was good value at £80 for the couple, including two drinks each. There are also three or four supermarkets within a five-minute walk, plus small bars and restaurants nearby if you’d rather not head to Lapad, the marina or the old town.

Karolina was the real standout, she couldn’t do enough to make our holiday great, and we’ll definitely stay at Villa Peragro again when we return to Croatia. The apartment made a perfect base for a week. It was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Just outside the door there’s a clean pool, comfortable loungers and a great mountain view. Downstairs are laundry facilities and a private, fully air conditioned gym with all the equipment you need. The location is handy too. Walk down to the main road, turn left and go about 500 yards to a promenade lined with restaurants and bars. The number 4 bus to Croatia old town takes 10-15 minutes. We had an amazing day there.
