The stairs are a bit of a climb, but the view makes them worth it. From the beautiful, tidy room you can see the city walls, the old town and the Adriatic sea. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd recommend this lovely room to anyone.

I've never had a hotel view like this. The rooms had good AC, clean beds and nice bathrooms, and the atmosphere and views make this the best place to stay in Dubrovnik for me. There are a lot of stairs up to the top, but you know that before booking, so be ready for a bit of cardio. Don't let the negative reviews about the climb put you off.

We stayed in room #21, and the view was easily the best we've had, on this trip or any other. You wake up looking straight at the fort, the red keep lol, through a huge window. The property is right beside the city walls and a little above them, so in August 2024 we could see both sunrise and sunset from the room. That's a better sunset spot than the Walls, which cost €35 to enter. I believe this is the highest point in the Old Town, so yes, there are stairs. Do your research and skip it if you're bringing luggage. We managed fine with 2 carry-ons each. I don't get the 2ish-star Google Maps rating. The property is superb. We got clear communication before arriving, and the woman at main reception was so sweet. She walked us to our building, chatted about the city and was really accommodating. We could check in an hour early, which we appreciated so much after a 2 hour queue at the border crossing. Some people complain about all the stairs, but to me they're part of what makes the place special. I also forgot to mention that it used to be a Monastery! It was a perfect way to experience Dubrovnik.

The view from the top of Dubrovnik’s Old City is amazing, and the staff, though remote, replied quickly and helpfully on WhatsApp. There were too many practical problems for us. The AC never cooled the room properly. They cleaned the filters on Day 2, but it didn't help, and we were told to use a fan instead. The room stayed hot. The bathroom was hot too, with no fan or airflow, and leaving the door open just warmed up the bedroom. Shower water kept changing from hot to cold, which made it hard to shower properly. We only had a thin sheet, no proper bedding, so sleeping was uncomfortable. Getting to the room meant climbing approx. 200 stairs, which was tough with luggage. I used Baggage & Smile, a porter service you can book seperately, for 2 bags at approx. €50 one-way. After meals, be prepared to climb back up, since all the good restaurants are downhill. Having to lock and unlock 3 separate doors each time we came or went was a small but annoying hassle. Great view and fast WhatsApp replies, but for the price I expected a much more comfortable and hassle-free stay. I wouldn't book again.
