Dubrovnik Luxury Residence - L'Orangerie

Christina was really helpful at check-in, showing us around and sharing local tips. My partner and I had a spacious one-bedroom apartment that could easily sleep four with the pull-out couch. There was a big balcony with a table, chairs, and a drying rack, plus a full kitchen with plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. Laundry was free and shared with just one other unit. The location was great, close to Sunset beach, with a small market, bakery, a couple of restaurants, and even a movie theater on the ground floor. Old town was about a 10-15 minute taxi ride away, or you could take the nearby bus. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. We'd definitely come back!

Karla made check-in an absolute breeze. She was lovely, informative, and had a great sense of humour. The rooms are around Sunset Beach, within walking distance of seaside bars and cafes, a market, and plenty of shops and restaurants, including the very good Mangoes.

We had a room with a balcony above the cafes, a full kitchen, and a nice big balcony facing a water fountain. The washing machine was very useful since we're travelling for a while. The room itself was good, but the layout was awkward for three people: you have to walk through the main bedroom to get to the bathroom. That wouldn't be an issue for two. The cafe plays music all day until 11pm, so you can hear the bass, which gets a little annoying. The location was convenient, and an Uber to old town was only 7 euros. The beach across the street wasn't great, it looked rundown and old, though that's not the hotel's fault.

There's a bakery and coffee place downstairs, and it's nice to take a morning stroll along the waterfront. The apartment is very clean and modern, with a huge terrace overlooking the sea. Parking is in a private, secure car park. Call the friendly receptionist and they'll open the gate and show you which bay to use. Old Town is a short Uber ride away, about 6 euros.
