We had a lovely stay in the host's cute, clean, and comfortable property, which we booked through airbnb. The terrace was lovely, too. He was very nice, welcomed us with drinks, shared recommendations, and helped whenever we needed it. Thanks, we'd definitely recommend it!

The property is in a great spot, near the sea and the bus station, with a 20-minute ride to the Old Town. Just be aware that Lapad is full of steps. The owner was very kind and helpful when we arrived and when we left. The room looks a little dated, but it was kept very clean. The bathroom is outside the room and quite a walk away, past other rooms. The listing should explain that more clearly.

At 160 euros a night, this is just a tiny room, not an apartment. It's old, with two cots and a TV that's 15 years old, and you'll pay another 20 euros each way for a taxi. The area is a long way from everything: there's a staircase with 80 or 90 steps, then half a kilometer to the nearest supermarket. Nearby restaurants are good but expensive, and walking to the historic center takes about two hours. Check the map carefully before booking in Dubrovnik, or you could have a bad time.
