Guest House Marija Lapad

They started banging on the door in the morning while my husband was getting dressed and I was in the shower. Someone cut the electricity from outside. When they knocked again and we opened up, the owner's daughter came in, pushing the door, and taking photos of the room and us. We were alarmed and nervous, and when we asked what was going on, she said, “I will tell you what happened.” A few minutes later there was another knock. A man with a very bad temper was there, and we opened the door right away. The same girl said we were illegal immigrants and that she was going to call the police. We said to call them because we didn't understand what was happening. The man replied that he was the police. It turned out the only issue was that they had cancelled the reservation and wanted to charge us 32€. Even after the matter was cleared up, though we had nothing to do with it, nobody apologized and they continued to treat us like thieves. The girl's anger was frightening. We had to leave quickly, and my husband hadn't even washed his face or showered. We've never been humiliated like that.

The best thing about our stay was the location, and I couldn't recommend it more. The place was clean and tidy, with everything we needed for four nights. The owner was kind, friendly and helpful with all our requests. Thanks for having us, I'd definitely come back!
