Guest House Raguz

The host was lovely and waited up to welcome us at around 3 am, after our flight was diverted to Rome and then returned to Dubrovnik. The room had an old-fashioned, traditional cottage feel, but it was clean and tidy. The garden is especially nice at night, with lots of stars visible overhead. It does get very warm during the day.

The terrace is lovely, and it's about a pleasant 30 minute walk to the old town and fort. We started out in a small room, then moved to a much larger one on the second night. The hosts were very nice and accommodating, gave us Racki, and let us use the laundry line. It's a bit hard to find, and if you come by ferry, expect a climb up the hill with lots of stairs.

The location is great, the people are very friendly, and the air conditioning works well. You do have to pay in cash if you booked through Booking.com, which was a hassle since most ATMs charge crazy fees to get euros. The credit card reservation still hasn't been cleared either.

We had a very nice stay. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, the rooms were clean, and the terrace had an amazing view. It's near a beautiful little beach and not too far from the city. They offered refreshments when we arrived and had no problem with our late check-in after flight issues. They speak only a little English, and the rent had to be paid in cash. We meant to review the place on Booking.com but waited too long, so we're leaving our review here.
