The room was clean and nicely furnished, and the shower was fantastic. Breakfast was a mixed bag: the cooked food was fresh and good, with a big choice and plenty of other things, but the cereal milk was warm enough to put me off eating. The breakfast staff were fantastic and attentive, though the receptionist was rude again in the morning. At check-in, we were left waiting for 10 minutes while the receptionist took a phone call, after our six-hour flight. They were abrupt about us not having decided whether to book breakfast. Such a lovely hotel has the potential to be much more, but the reception staff let it down. The rest of the staff are great, so don't let the receptionist's doorman attitude put you off.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and there's a supermarket close by, which was great. Lapad Beach is a hidden gem nearby. Getting to the Old Town is easy on bus 6, and you can take it back too. I'd absolutely recommend staying here if you're visiting Dubrovnik.

We got our Croatia trip off to a lovely start at Hotel Ivka. Our room was modern, clean, and air-conditioned, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. The staff were consistently friendly and ready to help. There's a small supermarket and a bus stop just a few metres up the hill. Thanks for a great stay, we can recommend the hotel 100%.

Valentina and Ivanka deserve a special thank you. They were welcoming, polite, and always ready to help with a smile, and their kindness and professionalism made us feel at home. The hotel itself is new, beautifully kept, and very clean, and the food was delicious with plenty of variety and good quality. We had a wonderful stay and would gladly return. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed the buffet breakfast. There's a bus stop right outside, with bus number 6 going straight to the Old Town, and it's easy to catch the same bus back. Our guide's tip was to get off once you see water on the right, then walk up the hill. Great hotel.
