Marija made me feel at home from the start. She was so warm and kind, and during my Easter stay she surprised me with a homemade cake. That thoughtful gesture really touched me. The rooftop was another highlight, with a beautiful view of the sunset. My room was comfortable, clean, and peaceful, just right for relaxing after exploring Dubrovnik. I had such a happy, memorable stay and would gladly return. I’d recommend this place for the lovely accommodation and Marija’s genuine hospitality.

The rooftop terrace was the highlight, with a kitchen and a fantastic view. We made eggs and coffee there each morning and enjoyed the calm after the old town’s bustle. There’s also a gorgeous courtyard, and the comfortable room and modern, clean finish throughout were excellent. It’s a recently completed conversion of a house, so don’t be put off by the lack of reviews. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. The walk down to the old town takes around 20 minutes, which may feel long to some, but we enjoyed it and found some good shops along the way. It was nice to escape the noise and high prices there. A cheap, quick Uber or taxi is another option. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Dubrovnik.

The terrace was a lovely place to relax, with a fridge for drinks, a kitchen, and even a washing machine that came in handy during our trip. Everything felt well thought out and made us feel at home. Our host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and went out of their way to share useful information that made our time in Dubrovnik easier and more enjoyable. We had a fantastic stay, would definitely recommend it, and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Marija and Perica were thoughtful, friendly hosts who helped us make the most of our week at Rooftop and Rooms Dubrovnik. The rooms are finished to a smart, high standard, and there are just three, so the lovely rooftop is rarely crowded. We often had it to ourselves for breakfast and late evenings. It has a kitchen, fridge, pretty original oil paintings, and an honesty bar with alcoholic and soft drinks, ice, frozen lemon slices, and glasses for making a bottled cocktail. We enjoyed watching the sunset there. Marija shared a link for the Dubrovnik pass, available for 1, 3, or 7 days. The city walls walk alone makes it pay for itself, and it covers places such as Rectors Palace and the Franciscan monastery. It also includes a 1 week pass for local 1-9 buses. She recommended good-value local restaurants as well as the mini mart, bakery, and greengrocers. The bakery’s burek sir, or cheese filo pastry pie, was amazing, as were the spinach and meat burek. The apartment is in a pleasant family area, a 15-minute walk from the old town and the steps down to the Pile gate at Minceta fort, or under five minutes by number 8 bus. For a day out, we’d suggest taking the cable car up Mt Srd, booking lunch at the Panorama restaurant, then walking down the pretty route in sturdy shoes. It takes about an hour and works off lunch nicely. Buza Bar is fun for watching people dive off the rocks or walking down the steps for a swim. Lokram island and Lodrup island are good for a day of swimming, sunbathing, sightseeing, or exploring the nature reserve. From the cable car bus stop, walk to Ploche gate into the old town. Bota restaurant is good for oysters and sashimi, and the rooftop terrace at Michelin recommended Proto restaurant makes a pricey but delicious special meal. There’s plenty to discover in the old town. Stop for a drink at cafe Festival or either the front or back terrace at Arsenal by the port, then head back to the apartment and rooftop. Just a delightful stay, and we’d recommend it.

The rooftop terrace was fantastic, and the hosts were lovely, always ready to help with recommendations. The place was well maintained, and just a short walk from the Old Town. It gave us space to relax and switch off while exploring Dubrovnik. An unbeatable stay.
