Rooms Bender

The staff were lovely and really sweet. Sadly, the bed bug bites I got in the room have left me scarred, and they spoiled the end of my holiday.

The price was cheap and the location was good, but the staff didn’t speak English and the older people there weren’t very friendly. They got annoyed when I did a quick, small load of laundry, even though I’d been told the washing machine was in “my bathroom.”

At least the sheets and towels were clean, but that was about the only bright spot. The room was hot and neglected, the air conditioning barely worked, and the old mattress was awful. The shared bathroom was dated and dirty, and even the key ring felt disgusting. Getting to the house meant dealing with lots of stairs, and the elderly owners spoke only Croatian. It’s a long way from the center, the bus only comes every 30 minutes, and there’s no parking. Terrible value for money.

When we found bugs in the bed, we pointed them out, but they insisted they were ants even though they didn’t look like ants at all. They were rude about it and refused a full refund, offering only half. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
