It’s right by the main hub at the pile entrance, just a few steps up, and the location is perfect for seeing the old town and the walls. The host is super accommodating. If you get lost, the first entrance past the restaurant is the one, and the address is right above the gate. Booking.com included a phone number to call if needed in the confirmation email.

We loved our stay and would come back. It’s incredibly central, right at the old town gate. If you can, book the sea view room. It’s lovely, with high ceilings and a comfortable king bed. Our host was helpful, laid back, and gave us lots of towels.

The hosts welcomed us warmly and understood our late flight. The in-house architect gave us an exemplary tour and history of Croatia's art scene. Behind the divine original green door from the 1800's is a hidden gem. The terrace is beautifully tended, full of greenery, and if you’re lucky you might meet a tortoise. From there you can see the walls and sea, and I saw the most exquisite sunset through the vines. It felt like an oasis amid the Old Town’s humdrum. Our room was spotless, with a mini fridge, aircon, a modern bathroom, and a ginormous, delightful bed. It’s a literal stone's throw from the stunning Pile entrance to the walled city.

Before arriving, make sure to contact the host so they can meet you with the keys and answer questions. We were also able to borrow beach towels for a day. Rooms Posat is right across the street from the Gate, an easy place for taxis to drop you off, and there aren’t as many steps as at other hotels. We were very happy with our stay.
