The room was fine, nothing special, and breakfast brought to the room was good. But at 450 EU/$524 per night, I expected a more elevated stay, and neither the accommodation nor service delivered that. It felt like an Airbnb that serves breakfast. There was no help with bags on the long walk, no amenities, and one person at the desk who mainly showed us to the room. The location is right in the middle of the old town, and that seems to be what you’re paying for. We stayed one night during a trip to Croatia. When I went to leave this review, I saw dozens of third-party links advertising rooms from 225EU. I booked directly and apparently paid top dollar. At 225 EU a night, the limited service and amenities would be a good tradeoff for the location.

The location is five stars: right in the heart of the old town, with everything within walking distance. The deluxe suite was spacious and clean, but felt like an ordinary room, nothing special. The staff were friendly and nice, though service felt a bit laid back. We checked in around 21:30 and were first given the wrong room on the 4th floor. After we pointed it out, they moved us to the second floor. It looked like the room we’d booked, but didn’t have the balcony shown in the pictures. We were too tired to ask for another change, so let it go. Breakfast comes to the room, with four menu choices. It was pretty average. They take your order the night before, but had forgotten it by morning and asked us again. The coffee was not good at all, and the orange juice wasn’t fresh. The price only makes sense for the location; nothing else justifies it.

The view is amazing, and you can’t beat the location. Breakfast is actually really good, though it doesn’t start until 7:30. Just a heads-up about the stairs: there’s no elevator, and the top floor means climbing four steep flights.

There are good restaurants nearby for trying local food, and the hotel is close to the main historic sights and old harbor. It sits in the heart of Dubrownik, easily reached from the main street Stradun without the high steps most Dubrownik accommodations have. The staff are friendly and very helpful, and the room is serviced every day. Each room has a small kitchen and a nice, clean bathroom. It works well for short or long stays. Highly recommended, and great value for money.
