The room view wasn't quite what I'd hoped for, though I understand requests can't always be met in busy periods. It was the one small letdown in an otherwise wonderful first trip to Croatia with my 13-year-old son. Valamar Tirena was beautiful and welcoming, and our room was spotless. With my OCD, cleanliness matters a lot to me, and I couldn't fault it anywhere. Everyone we met was friendly and professional. Nevenka was wonderful helping us arrange excursions. She was patient and reassuring despite all my questions, and organized a tuk-tuk tour around Dubrovnik. Our guide, who runs the business with his brother, was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the city. The €120 tour was worth every cent, and so memorable I felt emotional. He was lovely with my son, and seeing Dubrovnik this way is something we'll always remember. I'm very fussy and allergic to everything, but there was plenty of food choice for me, and my son was happy too. The food was consistently good, and the drinks were excellent. More than anything, my son and I came away with memories we'll keep forever. Our first time in Croatia felt magical, and Valamar Tirena was a big part of that. A better view would have made it 10/10, but it came close to perfect and I'd happily return.

Maro world was brilliant for the kids, with loads of activities and a safe place to leave them if you wanted. The hotel met and exceeded our expectations, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Jovan at the bar was especially good, always checking our drinks were topped up. We'd gladly come back.

The room was immaculate, very clean, and had a great balcony view. There are lots of breakfast options, and the staff were amazing and really helpful. The location is excellent, with good transport into the city centre. It's a great place for families with kids, and I strongly recommend giving it a try. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Nevenka at reception was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She listened carefully to what our group needed and tailored our itinerary, coordinating all the details and even speaking directly with the captain to make sure the arrangements worked for us. She was friendly, patient, professional, and quick to respond. She also gave us her contact number in case we needed anything else. We had an excellent experience, truly five-star service. Thank you for going above and beyond!

The hotel is in a great location. We ate at the Oliva grill inside every day, and the food was amazing. Mario looked after us so well. Thank you!
