The staff, including Alen, were kind, but they couldn't resolve the problems we raised. We booked Villa Erna mainly because its listing advertised wifi, which we needed for work and family, yet the connection in apartment 3 was unreliable or absent throughout our stay. Someone was supposed to come check it, but nobody did. We were simply told to go outside for wifi, even though the evenings when we needed to call or message were extremely cold. This was the most expensive accommodation on our trip, and the room itself felt very average for the price. There also wasn't enough hot water for all of us to shower, even with the boiler left on the whole time. We left disappointed and don't feel Villa Erna was worth what we paid.

We came back for a second stay after our sailing trip, having spent a few days here beforehand. That first visit suited us so well that booking again was an easy choice. The place was clean and comfortable, with a lovely pool and AC. Alan was caring, helpful, knew his stuff, and was always available. One of the best hosts I've met in a long time. Thanks, Alan, for making Croatia feel comfortable and special for us.

Our host got back to messages quickly and met us soon after we arrived. He also shared useful advice on getting around town and where to find beer, coffee, and food. We appreciated having a garage under the apartments for our motorcycles during our ride across Croatia. Both apartments were very clean and nicely equipped, with big balconies and a lovely bridge view. They were priced so reasonably that the four of us booked two. I'd happily recommend the place and hope to come back.

The beach and supermarket are perfectly close, and the old city is fairly near too. We used Uber every day, and it worked out great, around $13-22 each way. Allan was a wonderful host, always a pleasure to run into in the morning or afternoon. If you're heading to Dubrovnik, you should definitely stay here.
