Camping Puntica

The campsite is nice, the sanitary rooms are clean, and the staff are friendly. We were still very disappointed by the “beach.” Based on the webpage reviews, I expected something different. Getting into the water was okay, but the whole coastline felt busy, with a busy road, a rather noisy beach bar across from the coast, and a small harbor. Maybe all that activity is why the water was quite cloudy. We’ve been to Istria six times, and this is the first time we’ve changed campsites after two days when we’d planned to stay for 10. There are much prettier places along the coast with really clear water for the same price. Sadly, we were disappointed 😢

We arrived by chance in early September and found a pitch without a reservation. It was very reasonably priced, and the staff were lovely. The camp had a calm atmosphere, with polite, friendly and quiet guests. Facilities were good and the cleanest we’ve seen in the rest of Croatia. The pitches are large and shady, all with electricity and water, and some are right by the sea. The beach is okay. We spent our days at neighboring beaches five minutes away by bike, where the snorkeling was better, though you can stay on site too. A good fit for families and couples who like peace and nature.

The beach area was lovely and the facilities were clean. But the pricing in summer felt way too high. We paid 29 Euros for one night with a tent and two people, then somehow the next night was 43 Euros because the week changed and there was a 20 percent extra charge for stays under three nights. Nobody told us about that beforehand. On Saturday night, the bar next door played music at an insanely loud party until 6 in the morning. We couldn't sleep in the tent, and reception didn't respond to our complaints.

We’ve stayed here twice now and plan to return. It’s a small, pleasant campsite, with tidy, very clean toilets and showers. The people working at the campsite, restaurant, and supermarket are extremely friendly, and the prices are reasonable.
