Hostel Fužinarska House

The kids love coming here, and the food is excellent. It’d be a great spot for a school camp or any kind of school trip!

The breakfast was okay, though there’s room to improve. Our room was clean and nice, but the lights didn’t really work. The main issue was the lack of WiFi in our room. It was 2022, mobile internet in Fuzine is generally slow, and we’d expected WiFi, but there wasn’t any. There was also nobody around to ask for information. We were welcomed outside because a group of kids were at reception. After settling in, we wanted to ask about breakfast and WiFi, but couldn’t find anyone. Later, when we tried to go outside for a smoke, everything was locked and again no one was there. We got the feeling they didn’t care much about us as guests, since a large group had the whole building and we were only staying one night.

I’ve been coming here every summer since 2001. The staff are friendly, the service is great, and there’s good food and accommodation, with 2-5 people per room. Guests get free WiFi and parking. The ground floor is accessible for day visits, dining, entertainment and the restroom, but there are no guest rooms on that level, so the accommodation isn’t wheelchair accessible.

We only ate at the restaurant. The food was okay, nothing special. I’ve had meals that were both better and worse.
