The restaurant seemed pleasant and family run, but after our last visit I doubt we'll return. The mussels were extremely dry, with no sauce, just garlic and parsley, and among the worst I've had in Croatia. The bread was dry too, perhaps from the day before or left out all day. The waiter apologized, offered not to charge us, and gave us a beer, which was kind. We chose to pay anyway. The bill was another disappointment. The menu listed mussels at 90kn per kg. Before ordering, I asked about the portion size and was only told it was a large plate for one person. They charged us for a full kilo, though the portion looked like 500g, maybe 600g at most. Judge from the photo yourself. It felt like we might have been overcharged as tourists, but we didn't want to argue and spoil the evening further. There was also a bit of a language barrier, as English wasn't their strong point. We also had Kozice and skampi, both average, and we've had better. The Lignje were tasty. Still, I wouldn't recommend this place, since there are many better restaurants in Gradac.

Antonio and Renata are some of the kindest people we've met. They're humble, funny, generous, and work at a restaurant that's amazing, with fresh fish the owner catches himself, juicy steaks, and delicious wine. The apartment was perfect for us, clean, well arranged for me, my wife, and our five-year-old daughter, and less than 50m from the beach with a beautiful sea view. It wasn't huge, but wasn't cramped either. For a holiday, the sea, food, and surroundings matter more than a place to sleep. I highly recommend staying here.

The mixed meat was okay, nothing special, but the steak was awful, tough and hard to cut. My wife and I tried both. It was the biggest food disappointment of our trip so far, so despite the good Google rating, I can't recommend this place.

You have to order Hobotnica pod pekom a day ahead, and we were glad we did. It was really good, with a generous portion. We left happy and full. It's become our favorite Croatian dish.
