There’s a playground for kids, and the setting near Ivanec is really peaceful. I like coming here for lunch, and the prices feel fair for what you get. Parking is plentiful, with spaces always available, and the place keeps improving. It also has a hall for larger events like weddings.

The restaurant was the highlight for me. I’d take another flight just for the burger with fries and ajvar, or the lasagna. The hotel is also a lovely, relaxing spot, with a large balcony looking out over fields and distant mountains. It’s away from the city, though there are small villages nearby where you can get good food. The staff were kind and even drove me to the bus terminus after my stay. There was a mistake on my bill, but I pointed it out and they refunded me right away. I’m sorry to the staff if my refund email sounded harsh. Another hotel in Varazdin had refused to refund me, so I was worried about being scammed again. I said I’d be back in summer 2020.

We tried the pizza after having grilled meat with gnocchi at hotel/restaurant Orion, and both were good, especially the meat. The staff were kind too. The one letdown was the rakija: 22 kn for 0.03 felt far too expensive.

For a business stay, this is a great fit. The rooms were clean, service was good, and the staff were friendly. A very nice hotel in Croatia.
