We had a large room and a well-stocked kitchen, and the air conditioning worked really well. The fridge was noisy, so each evening we had to turn it down to minimum to get some peace. A few small things came up, but the friendly hosts sorted them out quickly. It's up at a higher elevation, so expect a walk uphill if you're on foot. Prices are above the Croatian average, though that's typical for apartments on Hvar. For a meal, Bistro Ero is a great nearby option: affordable, generous portions, and a cozy atmosphere that's quite different from many restaurants in the center.

The new house has new furniture, but the mattress in the purple room is completely worn out. It can leave you with back pain and spoil the whole holiday. The terrace is reached by the stairs and gets sun all day; even in the evening, the heat makes it hard to sit there for long. Other than that, we had no problems. The sea view is even better from upstairs, as you can see in the photos with more of the sea. It's a short walk into the center. Hvar is a higher level of Croatia, with prices above other places and very nice, expensive restaurants.
