The beach was the best part for me. The water is crystal clear, around 5-6 meters deep in places, and you can see all the way down. There’s a shallower area for families, plus more secluded spots where I saw only 3-4 people at most. The hotel is older, but the rooms were clean and well maintained. Mine had a sea view, TV, and air conditioner. There’s just one outlet, though, so bringing an extension cable would solve that quickly. The buffet food at both breakfast and dinner was amazing, with salads, fruit, vegetables, meat, pastries, sweets, and ice cream. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I didn’t have a bad interaction with anyone. For the price, I don’t believe there’s a cheaper option on Hvar that includes breakfast, dinner, and a private beach. Some people say the hotel is mediocre or not worth it, but I disagree. A few critics seem to expect a three-star Michelin meal and a private palace for 120€. It’s a great hotel, and I don’t think you’ll regret coming here.

The nearby beach was the only thing I liked. The building looks like it’s falling apart, with cracks across the façade, and the photos on the website and Google must be old because they don’t resemble its current condition. There’s no Wi-Fi in 2025, and just one outlet in the room. We couldn’t get a corkscrew or even wine glasses, and it cost 20 euros to get to downtown Hvar. Breakfast was mediocre at best. This place feels practically defunct, with poor upkeep, misleading advertising, and inconvenient amenities. There’s more I could say, but it’s not worth the effort. If you’re planning a holiday, skip this nostalgia trap and stay somewhere that respects its guests enough to update anything.

The rooms were clean, air-conditioned, and everything worked, so I had no complaints there, even though the place is old-fashioned and probably needs renovation by today’s standards. The staff were pleasant, courteous, and always ready to help. The food was excellent, with several tasty dishes to choose from. It’s in a quiet, beautiful bay with crystal-clear water. The sunbeds are free and comfortable, and the terrace view at sunset is magical. There’s a lovely seaside path into Hvar center, about 15-20 minutes at an easy pace. Given how favorable the price is, I think this is the best choice for a holiday in Hvar.

The room was roomy enough, and the air conditioning came in handy. The beach was great too, and having free sunbeds was a bonus. But the buffet food was some of the worst I’ve ever had, and I wouldn’t recommend eating here, even breakfast. It’s also a 30 minute walk into town. There is a shuttle, but it only runs from 10-3.

The beach is beautiful, and the walk into town is lovely, but it takes 30 minutes and there aren’t many amenities or places to eat outside the center. The chairs are mostly broken in some way. Our room was fine, though very dated and in need of a lot of care. The food was a disaster. Avoid the buffet entirely. It was among the worst meals I’ve had, and the dining room was sweltering, like what I imagine a prison mess hall feels like. Yikes, a disappointing stay.
