I saw the situation behind my friend's review myself, since I was staying in the room upstairs. We had an 11:15 ferry and went for an early run. When we got back, there was no water, so we messaged you right away. We weren't negative about it because we knew the outage wasn't your fault. We stayed in touch while waiting and went to get coffee nearby. As discussed, we chose to wait for the water rather than go to the place you'd suggested for a shower. If it didn't come back in time, we'd simply skip showering before the ferry. You knew we were out nearby waiting for the water. The main issue is that someone entered our room without telling us. If you'd contacted us, we would have asked you to wait another hour. When we came back, my friend said you'd mentioned the air conditioning could be repaired while he was in the shower. That was odd. We've stayed in plenty of hotels, and for a one-night stay, rooms aren't cleaned until the guest checks out. We naturally left our belongings in the room, expecting staff not to enter before we left. You could have simply told us during our messages that someone would be coming in, instead of assuming we'd packed. Our swimsuit shouldn't have been moved by anyone, whether it was on the private outdoor chair or inside. Why would anyone on the street move something that clearly belonged to someone else? About your comment on “high expectations”: we came from Korčula on a 6 a.m. ferry and only asked to drop off our luggage. You said you couldn't take it before 10 a.m., and we accepted that without complaint. You let down two easygoing, polite guests because of a breach of trust and poor communication, not because we expected too much.
