The room was spacious, and the location right in the town center was handy. Staff were friendly and easy to reach by phone. Since I had to leave early, they gave me a basic breakfast to take along, prepared the evening before, which was thoughtful. There was a little mold in the shower, and the shower faucet hook was broken.

We waited an hour for the main course, and the dish wasn't what we'd ordered. The menu said hot-smoked fish, but it was deep fried, and it arrived raw, literally refrigerator-cold inside. They did offer a free pizza to make up for it, which I appreciate, but the cooks should know not to put frozen fish into piping hot oil.

At Villa Iva, the local specialties were excellent, and they have quality local wine that's famous outside Croatia too. It's a nice restaurant for national food, with efficient service and very nice, helpful waiters.

The rooms are decent, and the traditional organic food is excellent. The place is decorated with beautiful pieces by a local painter. They can also give you a ride to or from places like the nearest train station, 50km away. That's quite important when public transportation is virtually nonexistent.

The staff were so friendly, and we were amazed by the service. The traditional grilled pork was a great choice, with big portions. The soup didn't seem truly homemade, but it was okay for the price. I think we'll come back one day.
