Apartments Knezak

Davor and Petra made us feel so welcome. They shared a wonderful grilled fish meal with us and the other guests, along with fresh figs from a nearby orchard. The apartment was spacious and clean, with a fantastic view of a nearby island. A lovely spot for a peaceful holiday with kind people. Highly recommended.

After seeing plenty of places along the Adriatic, I’d say this roomy three-bedroom apartment has one of the best sea views in Croatia.

The setting is lovely for walks, with few locals and tourists around. Shops are limited to three on the island, and the closest is about 2 km away, though restaurants, bars and ice cream places are nearby. Credit cards are accepted. The owners kept to themselves, and we only met them to get the keys. Getting to the apartment takes care. The narrow concrete walkway beside the beach is also used by cars, and there’s no room for two vehicles to pass. Larger cars need extra caution. The turn off the main road is similarly tight and very steep. The terrace looks out over the sea, and the beach is only a short walk away. It’s concrete and pebbles, suitable for children and with a barrier, though the water doesn’t stay shallow for long and the entry isn’t especially gentle. Guests can use several loungers and umbrellas. Inside, there are three separate bedrooms, including one set up for children, a small living room and kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower. Most essentials are there, but no iron. The air conditioning by the entrance doesn’t cool the far bedrooms very well; luckily, portable fans are provided.

It’s hard to put the atmosphere of this place and island into words. I almost never find somewhere I want to return to, but I’ll definitely be back. I recommend it.
