Abuela's Beach House

We’ve come back for a second year, which says a lot about this beach house. Brane really makes you feel welcome, with thoughtful surprises like homemade apple pie and mojitos on a hot afternoon. He’s a big part of what makes the stay so special. The infinity pool looks out over the sea, and mornings with coffee and that view felt like a dream. The house was spotless, well cared for, and had everything we needed, especially in the kitchen, from good appliances to all the tools for cooking or making snacks. Every detail felt just right, and we were treated like friends. Thanks again, Brane. We’ll definitely be back!

Brane greeted us very late at night with a caipirinha, a traditional Brazilian drink, and made our stay so enjoyable. My partner and I had a wonderful week at the Abuela Beach House. The apartment and pool were really clean, and the beautiful beach and local restaurants are just a short walk away. We had an amazing time and hope to return!

The pool was a lovely bonus after a day on the beach, with the sea and sunset right in view. There’s also a barbecue area, and the promenade with plenty of beaches is just downstairs. The room was clean and comfortable, and both the location and view are amazing. The owner is so friendly and helpful, and you can tell he cares about his guests. He shared information about restaurants, places to visit, markets and beaches. I’d definitely recommend this place and hope to come back next year! 🥰

We loved how quiet it was, with little pebbly beaches and a scenic walk and cycle path down the stairs from the apartment. You get clear water, natural beauty and peace in central Brela without the crowds. Bruin, a lovely restaurant Brae recommended, is only a five minute walk away. The family apartment at the top worked brilliantly for us and our couple of kids. There’s loads of space, everything you could need, and even a lovely outdoor shower. Brae, Ana and their lovely girls were such great hosts. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome, bringing cocktails to the room, booking taxis, sharing local advice and lending us things we’d forgotten. A wonderful setting with beautiful views. We hope to come back, thanks!
