Villa Perla

We had a great nine days in Kanica with five friends. The neighborhood is peaceful, more for relaxing with music or cards than partying. Around the house there are four places to sit, one with a grill, two with sea views, and another right in front. The big garden gave us plenty of room to park our cars. The house is close to the sea, though not right on the water, and has a lovely view. We used three nearby swimming spots: a private pier about 30 seconds away, a family friendly public beach about a minute away, and a rocky stretch with open sea views about a 10-minute walk from the house. Inside, everything was spotless and well equipped. Sheets and towels were provided, along with a washing machine, dishwasher, coffee pod machine, grill, two fridges, soap, and an ice maker from the host. There was an oven and stove in the kitchen. Two of the three bedrooms had air conditioning. For our group, the three toilets, two indoor showers, and outdoor shower were handy. The host was so welcoming and kind. He offered us drinks and let us use his ice machine and other amenities. We got to know a bit about the Dalmatian way of life, and he even made fish soup with us over an open fire. He also offered to take us out on his speed boat and was always around to help, including with recommendations in Split. He provided a stand-up paddleboard too, and shared a lot about Croatian culture. There are two good, affordable restaurants just a two-minute walk away. The closest supermarket is a short drive, around 5-10 minutes. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Kanica. Highly recommend!
