The host collected us from the bus station, and we were treated to wonderful mountains and a beautiful sea view. But our room had no air conditioning and felt stuffy; the fan didn't help. It was also very hot, there was a terrible smell from the shower, and the pillows were uncomfortable because their filling had clumped into lumps.

The nearest beach is 600 m away, and there's a shortcut to Tatinja Bay that makes the walk to that beach less than 1 km. Karlobag is a lovely town, and the accommodation was very good. We had everything we needed.
The accommodation and owners made the stay especially meaningful, with such a strong sense of humanity. It was a divine experience, thank you! The landscapes here felt surreal, and I found peace and a chance to restore my body, soul, and mind.
