Apartments Karadza

The area was easy to enjoy, with TOMMY within walking distance. I went there each morning for fresh chocolate croissants and baguettes, and they also had fruit, vegetables, meat, clothes, and basic kitchen things. Lidl is about a 10-minute drive, but it was packed, so the local shop worked much better for us. There are plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants nearby, plus live music in the evenings. We walked along the sea every night, even with our one-year-old in a buggy. You can find sugar cane, ice cream, local sweets, beer, cocktails, whatever you're after. Inside, the apartments are beautiful, modern, and very clean, with pretty much everything you could need: towels, bedding, toilet paper, air conditioning, TV, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, kettle, plates, knives, mop, and more. The bathroom also has a heater and fan. The pool is nice, though too cold for kids, and the brick wall beside it isn't very appealing. Some plants or bamboo would look better there. The sea is about a five-minute walk with children. A few things could be improved. The hot water is set far too high, and the electrical breakers were odd. The oven tripped them several times while I was making pizza, so I had to switch off all the boilers and the AC to cook. There's only AC in the kitchen, so you need to leave the bedroom doors open to cool the rooms. Even with those drawbacks, the apartments are so nice that it's hard to find faults. I'd give them 9/10.

The apartments themselves are good, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. We were charged for a table that was already damaged when we checked in, and for an umbrella that blew off the balcony in the wind. We're on the third floor, where it can get windy. The owner speaks very little English and didn't understand when we explained that the table was broken on arrival. He took the money right before we flew out, leaving us no time to call the police and wait for them.

It's a quiet, peaceful place at night and a great fit for families. The beach is only two minutes away, with restaurants, shops, and bakeries nearby too. The apartment was clean, nicely furnished, and looked just like the photos. The kitchen could use its own fan, though, so I'd bring one along, as people often do in Croatia. Otherwise it was well equipped, with new appliances, plenty of towels, and a clean, new washing machine. We could've packed half as much. There's air conditioning as well.
