Hotel Villa Žarko

We chose this cosy, sea-facing boutique hotel for a road trip, and it suited us well. The view is great if you get the right room, the staff are lovely, and parking is free. We did have ants in our room, unfortunately. Breakfast was a letdown: once food ran out, it didn't seem to get replenished. The breakfast area is below reception with no lift, and we saw an elderly woman struggle to get there. You also need a car to get around, whether you're heading into Split or farther afield.

The balcony looked out over the Adriatic, and that breathtaking view really made our day. We got there very late for check-in, but the staff and host helped us get settled and explained everything. We really liked the place, and the staff were so nice. Breakfast had a good range of options and was well stocked.

We only wish we'd had more time here. We arrived late and had to leave early, so we couldn't stay long. The rooms were beautiful and roomy, and ours had a walk-out patio overlooking the pool. Staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel is right across the road from the crystal clear Adriatic, and there's a nice waterfront bar/restaurant within walking distance. I'd love to come back and stay longer.

The view was amazing, and the location is hard to beat if you're here to relax by the beach. It's a neat little place with modern decor, and staff were around and able to arrange a ride to the airport. The only downside was the lack of hot water. From talking with staff, it sounded like this may be a known issue.
