The waterfront walk goes on for miles, and there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Trogir is about 15 minutes down the road, though parking there costs around €2 an hour. The location itself is beautiful, right by the water, with an information centre close at hand. Our suite was huge, and there’s a kitchen for making a snack or a cup of tea. Bring your own tea, coffee, and milk.

The beachside view is wonderful, and the facilities are spotless, as if the place has been renovated. You can make meals with the microwave, electric burner, and basic cutlery, though there’s no salt or seasoning. The living room sofa bed opens out fully and sleeps two comfortably. The shower room is clean, but the sink is so tiny that even washing your face is hard. Better to just shower.
