Kalamota Beach House

The facilities and food were great, and the location is beautiful. The staff were exceptional, and I'll miss them. Milos, Abhishek, Darko, everyone on the team, and management, thanks for having us. Hope we get to come back soon!

We had a two room apartment at Kalamota Beach House for a Monday to Friday stay in mid-May. The view over the little bay and the restaurant below was beautiful, and the hotel was clean and very pretty. Everyone on staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Breakfast came to the table with fruit, eggs, ham and cheese, pancakes, croissants, and yogurt, so we didn't need to eat again until dinner. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious, and although the portions looked small, they were just right. We'd definitely return.

I've been to Kalamota Beach House twice now, and I adore it. The rooftop pool is amazing, the rooms are very nicely appointed, and the private outdoor spaces feel so cozy. The restaurant food is fantastic, and we especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet, omelets, and coffee. The staff are thoughtful, kind, and incredibly helpful. Valentina, Sinisa, Abicheck, Darko, and Sidhart made our stay easy and welcoming, and I want to thank them for their wonderful service. I do have a few suggestions for the owners. My companion and I are both handicapped, and some details made it harder to enjoy the stay. The steps from the outdoor dining area and up to the hotel entrance need railings. A railing down the middle of both stairways would help with access without changing the hotel's feel too much. We also struggled with the bathrooms because there's a 3 cm step down from the hallway, and I'm not sure why it's needed. Grab bars near the toilet and in the shower would help, too. My friend thought the plants blocked some of the amazing views. I understand, though, that the foliage also gives guests privacy. The music in the dining area has improved a lot since I was here last year. I love 80's rock as much as the next codger, but it was lovely having jazz with our delicious meals this time. The island is stunning, and the hotel is lovely. Our room was clean and spacious, with direct access to the sea and a rooftop pool. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the cocktails were great. The food menu is small, but everything we tried was well cooked. There's only one tiny shop on the island, so you might want to pick up provisions in Dubrovnik before boarding the boat.
