The garden is amazing, and there’s a separate BBQ house. It’s a lovely, quiet villa for a family holiday, though it may not suit a group of travelers as well. The individual bedrooms don’t have air conditioning, and basic hygiene supplies, such as toilet paper, weren’t adequately stocked.

Getting to shops takes a bit of a drive, just under 8 km, though it’s quick by car. Communication with the landlord was easy and replies always came promptly. He was away on his own vacation, which was fair enough, and his cousin, I think, was there if we needed anything. We loved the calm atmosphere, the view, and the character of the grounds. There were fig trees, vegetable beds, olive trees, and more, and we were welcome to help ourselves whenever we liked. Our big group made good use of the pool, ping-pong table, and all the places to sit, by the pool, on the terrace, and in the gazebo. It was a wonderful vacation.

The furnishings inside are a little dated, though it didn’t bother us much since we spent nearly all our time outside. The large grounds, big pool, lovely sea view, and separate barbecue area made for a wonderfully peaceful stay. We could easily drive to doctors, supermarkets, and gas stations. There were two families, with two adults and two children each, and we stayed for two weeks. We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend Villa Marija.

The villa was just right for our trip. We especially enjoyed the friendly staff who rented the apartment, along with the fantastic pool and the views from the terrace. The mountain scenery was incredible. Larger shops aren’t nearby, which was a small downside.
