Everything was good: clean, nice rooms, friendly people, and a good restaurant. The ride up on my bike at the end of the day was a bit of a struggle, but the view made up for it.

The restaurant out front was great, and breakfast was good too. They even kept our bikes for us. Our room was clean and tidy, with access from the cobbled street behind the hotel. Lovely spot up on the hill.

The hotel service was average at best, but the restaurant is absolutely worth trying. The grilled calamari with vegetables is the best I’ve tasted in Croatia so far. The grilled seabass fillet was delicious too.

Breakfast on the big terrace was a great way to start the day, with medieval buildings around us and a striking view toward the Adriatic. The food was good, the scrambled eggs were made with care, and the cappuccino was just right. The staff, from the owner to the cleaning lady, were friendly and focused on guests. The room was clean and had what we expected, plus air conditioning when we needed it. It’s in a lovely little Mediterranean town, and arriving late was no problem. Restaurants, gas stations, and supermarkets are nearby, while several nice seaside areas are just a short drive away. We’d happily stay at Kvarner B&B again and recommend it to couples looking for a break in Istria.
