Apartment House Lumbarda

We felt comfortable throughout our 15-day stay at the Lumbarda Hotel, and the price was very good for the service. Although it's rated three stars, the service felt like it belonged to a higher category. Our family of five had a spacious family room with a sea view and comfortable beds. The rooms are classically furnished, and the hotel was clean. Towels and bed linen were changed often. The central location is handy, close to beaches, cafes, restaurants, and shops. We all enjoyed the varied, tasty food, including the fish dishes and more familiar options. Coffee is free and available around the clock. Staff were kind, helpful, and pleasant, and our phone conversations while booking were friendly and professional. The internet was very good. Compliments to the staff, especially Snezana Jovicic at reception, Mr. Ante, and the rest of the team. The pool is cleaned every morning and evening. The bar by the restaurant is very nice, though some ambient lighting and music could make it better. Keep in mind that there is no elevator.

The friendly smile and delicious breakfast from Rahul on the breakfast team made every morning better. The whole staff was warm and welcoming, from the helpful, kind reception team to the bartenders who created a great atmosphere and served excellent drinks. We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Lumbarda. Thanks to everyone for making it so enjoyable. We'll definitely be back!

Breakfast was okay, though it didn't seem fresh. The bread and cake were dry, cereal containers were left barely covered from one day to the next, yogurts sat in a bowl of water if you didn't come early, and the fruit looked like it had been out for a long time. Our family suite was overpriced and looked nothing like the photos. There were no doors between the rooms, barely any furniture, and no basic amenities such as a kettle or coffee. The old furniture and facilities, stained towels, and dirt under the beds made for a poor stay. There is no lift. I wouldn't recommend it, the value is poor and the place falls far short of what's advertised.

The room’s view was beautiful, and the location made it easy to reach the marina, restaurants, and beach on foot. The air conditioning worked well, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine, nothing special but not bad. The rest of the stay was a letdown for €170 a night. The bedding was stained, the old pillows and duvet were worn, and the mattresses felt unhygienic. The bathroom smelled unpleasant, and the towels were dirty, rough, and clearly due for replacement. On the balcony, the furniture was broken and dated, while the room itself had little charm or thoughtful design. The two single beds pushed together were uncomfortable. There was only one usable power outlet in the room. The phone charging sockets were so high on the wall that a short cable left the phone hanging, and the single bathroom socket was loose and coming out of the wall, which felt unsafe. The hotel has no elevator, which could be difficult with lots of luggage or mobility needs. Parking was also limited, and the €7 daily charge felt excessive on top of the room price. The hotel needs a serious update, including fresh bedding, better mattresses and towels, newer furniture, and a more practical room layout. The online photos don’t reflect what we found, and I wouldn’t recommend it. It wasn’t worth the price.
