We booked a two-bedroom apartment for two people, but before we arrived, the woman renting it told us we couldn’t use the second bedroom, even though the place is advertised as having two bedrooms. When we asked why, she was rude and unwelcoming, then told us to cancel. I’d suggest avoiding it if possible. There are plenty of nice places in Makarska. Enjoy your trip.

A few of the cabinet handles were a little loose, though that was the only thing we could find to criticize. The apartment had everything we needed, from kitchen utensils and cutlery to dish soap, a toaster, kettle, filter coffee machine, microwave, paper towels, tea towels, toilet paper, and hand towels. There’s also a fridge with a freezer compartment, plenty of closet space, and air conditioning that worked perfectly. It’s furnished in a charming way and felt like home as soon as we arrived. The welcome was warm and friendly, and parking is available. The driveway winds a bit and could be tricky for a very large car, but our Skoda Octavia had no trouble. The beach and promenade are only a few minutes away on foot. We’d gladly recommend staying here.

Nikolina was kind and helpful, and we had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom, plus air conditioning. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and towels were changed every three days. There’s a large balcony with parking just outside it. The center of Makarska and grocery stores are about two minutes away, while the beach takes around ten minutes to reach on foot. You can climb straight up the road to a lovely viewpoint on Vosac. The road is very narrow, so I’d suggest coming from the top, where parking is easier. We’d definitely stay again if we return to Makarska. Best regards, Dan, with family.
