Valamar Meteor Hotel

The food was a real highlight, with a huge buffet offering plenty of choice. Coffee, tea, and squash were free with every meal. The hotel was modern and clean, and the staff were always cheerful and welcoming. There were plenty of quieter spots to sunbathe or sit away from the pool, plus free pool tables and table tennis. Kids are well catered for too, with two child friendly pools, a small soft play area, little ride-ons around the lobby, a children’s club, cartoons, and an evening mini disco. The rooms work fine for two adults, but adding a third person on the sofa bed would make things cramped, with little room to move. We had a fabulous time and would recommend the hotel, especially for the food.

We were sad to leave after our 10 days here at the start of October. The hotel was beautifully decorated, the people were lovely, and the food was great. Its spot right by the beach made it easy to get to all sorts of places. We found everything just as good as the pictures, if not better, and even the WiFi worked perfectly. If we visit the same place again, we’ll definitely return. Highly recommended!

Outside the hotel was spotless and felt very safe. A promenade separates it from the shingle beach, but the swim is well worth putting up with stones in your shoes. The sea is incredibly clear, with the bottom easy to see even at 20 to 30 feet. The hotel is lovely, bright, and clean, and it welcomes families and dogs. There’s even a special restaurant section for dogs 🐕 😃.

The staff were fantastic, friendly, and clearly knew what they were doing. Parking costs extra, but it was hassle free, opening by number plate camera, and there didn’t seem to be another practical option nearby. From the balcony, the water and mountains looked lovely. The main annoyance was the room setup: heating only, with no air conditioning or other way to cool the room, and leaving the balcony door open meant regular battles with mosquitoes. In October there wasn’t much for adults to do, though kids had a great time, with nightly movie screenings, PS5, trikes in the lobby, activities, and animation. The trikes didn’t seem to bother anyone, even at 10 pm. The buffet was okay, nothing special, but there was something for everyone and the options changed regularly.
