The food was exceptional, and the wellness area felt like a proper retreat. Rooms were spotless, the location beautiful, and the staff warm and professional. A lovely blend of nature, comfort and hospitality. Highly recommend!

It's the biggest hotel in the Marija Bistrica region, and the rooms are cosy and very clean without being too expensive. The restaurant has a good wine list, and there are homemade cakes. I also liked the terrace, a nice spot to chat or sit with a cup of coffee.

There isn't much to do in town, and the hotel is a long way from Zagreb. I also don't think it's suitable for children. The rooms are outdated and in poor condition, and the spa has limited facilities and isn't always open. The dining room food looks nothing like the website pictures, and there's very little variety. When food runs out, it takes a long time to refill. The air conditioner is very noisy, and the rooms are generally at a very low standard. There's nothing to do at the hotel. The staff's unwelcoming attitude also contributed to my very low opinion. I'm sure I won't return, and I don't recommend this hotel at all, especially for families with children.

We've stayed three times and are planning to come back again. The employees, every one of them, made our stay so nice and made us want to return. The rooms, living room, restaurant, bar, playground and wellness were all perfect. I really can't find anything bad to say about the hotel. If you want to relax, enjoy yourself and feel like a queen or king, look no further and book at Hotel Kaj.
