Apartments Jako

We really enjoyed our stay in June and July 2023. The town is lovely, with nice beaches, and the owners were kind and helpful. Ms. Vesela was especially friendly. The owners even invited us to a barbecue, and the meat was delicious. The garden is full of flowers and very well cared for, though the house is still being renovated. We were with a small child, so I did miss having a locked gate between the apartment and the busy main road for safety. There’s a playground and a school sports field close by, too. We had plenty of space even with three children. Jako 2 is in an old house on the first floor, but its entrance faces the main street at ground level. The apartment has been newly renovated, with clean, attractive rooms and practical furniture. A small extra dresser for clothes in the bedroom would have helped. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of towels and spare bedding. Just outside is a large terrace with loungers, a swing, and a clothes dryer. Below that, there’s a partly covered terrace with a big table and barbecue. Guests can also use board games, a ball, paddles, and a washing machine, with detergent and laundry liquids provided. The air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked without a hitch. The window mosquito nets and security blinds were a great touch. A large supermarket is right next door and always seemed to have what we needed; locals shop there too. The center is very close, the streets are nicely lit at night, and the pubs are reasonably priced. A good fit if you like smaller towns near big cities.

The terrace has hammocks, and there’s parking beside the house. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the beach, with a supermarket next door. I did find the place too small for four people.

The hosts were lovely, warm, and very welcoming. There are all sorts of beaches along the way, and it’s a handy base for visiting Trogir, Split, and Šibenik.

We felt very welcome. The accommodation was comfortable and pet-friendly. I highly recommend it.
