Hotel Koral

The location near the beach seemed ideal, and we were four people travelling with a dog. But the smell from the garbage dump behind the hotel was so strong that it was unbearable to sit outside. Our four-person room also had serious cleanliness and maintenance problems. The bathroom was in terrible shape, with moldy grout, and the electrical sockets were pulling out of the walls, which felt dangerous with a dog around. We were given duvet covers but no duvets. What bothered us most was that nobody cleaned the room during our five-day stay. The towels and bedding were never changed, and it wasn’t vacuumed. By the third day we were walking through sand, so we cleaned it ourselves. We saw the cleaning staff once in all five days, and they seemed to wander around bored without doing any work, including in the shared areas. Breakfast was monotonous and tasteless, with very little choice if you came down later in the morning. We could have put up with the other problems, but the lack of cleaning was too much. This falls far below what I’d expect from a three-star hotel. The price for what we got was disappointing. We’ll never return and definitely wouldn’t recommend it.
