Oliveto

We meant to leave earlier, but ended up lingering under the lovely olive tree. The staff even treated us to a drink, which was a nice surprise. Oliveto Pizza & Bar has delicious pizza, fresh and full of flavor, baked just right, and the service was warm, friendly, and relaxed. A cozy place in Medulin if you're after good food and great service.

The setting is lovely, and our waiter was really friendly. That's the only good thing I can say. They warned us the busy restaurant might take an hour to serve us, and we accepted. More than two hours later, at 23:00, our food finally arrived, with one dish missing entirely. We shared our meals with the person who didn't get theirs. The food was okay, but by then we were hangry and just stuffing ourselves, and it was far too late for our two-year-old to still be up. We won't return, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The place was quiet and had a great atmosphere for an evening drink. But my tiny half shot of Hennessey was half water, which ruined it for me. We were sitting outside, so I never saw the bottle opened or the drink poured.

The meal was decent and the staff were friendly, but waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food was the main problem. I think they should at least warn people when it's going to take longer than expected. There's room to improve. Food and venue: 1/1 each, staff: 1/1, waiting time: 0/1, for a final score of 3/5.
