The beach was right on our doorstep, and the apartment had a breathtaking sea view. It was clean, modern, and equipped for a week’s stay. Free SUP and kayak rentals were included. The host was so friendly and sent us a detailed WhatsApp with all the information we needed right away. We’ll definitely come back!

What made this especially stressful was arriving in a small town with our dog after a long journey and finding out we had nowhere to stay. We’d paid a deposit almost three months ahead, spoken by phone, shared photos, and confirmed how many of us were coming. The first time this happened, the owner said he’d forgotten to block the dates for the apartment we wanted, but offered another one. It didn’t have a sea view, but it had a large terrace, which worked just as well for our dog, so we agreed. We booked directly, without Booking.com, and thought everything was settled. Then, two days before we arrived, we were told that our apartment had been double-booked. The owner wasn’t in Croatia at the time, but he handled it properly, took full responsibility, and tried to find us somewhere else with help from the neighbors. Everyone was fully booked except for one kind woman who also has a dog. She welcomed us into her place for the whole week, even though she wasn’t renting it out at the time. It was a stressful situation that could easily have been avoided.

We had a wonderful balcony view, and everything we needed was there. The owner, Igor, was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to, and the fish was delicious. I highly recommend this place.
