Apartments Matana Chano

The view from the spacious balcony alone was enough to help us rest and recharge. Our apartment was roomy and clean, and the sea was right at the doorstep. We could jump into the calm, clear water from the dock just outside our door, and still see the bottom several meters down. We were a family of five and had a fantastic stay. The whole island of Mljet is breathtaking, with blue and green scenery everywhere. Our hosts were extremely kind and welcoming. We loved the stay and plan to come back next year.

We’re back for the fifth year in a row. The apartments are just 10m from the shore, and the owners are wonderful.

Our host was lovely and friendly, and we’d stay here again next time we visit mljet. The studio is cozy, with a bedroom, little kitchen, private bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the sea. We enjoyed having tea there in the morning and a snack in the afternoon. It’s a short walk from Polace port, and steps give you easy access to the water for a swim. Polace is a quiet, relaxing little town by the water, right next to Mljet National park.

A good place to feel at home while visiting Mljet. Matana Chano in Polače was spotless, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed. It’s close to the waterfront and local attractions while still being peaceful and quiet. The balcony and view were a lovely place to unwind after a day out exploring the island. Gorana and Pero were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to help us. They also shared great tips for local places to see and eat. I’d absolutely stay again on my next trip to Mljet.
