Boutique Pine Tree apartments

Coming back to Saplunara after a day exploring the island felt like arriving in paradise. We hired a car in Sobra and drove about 40 minutes to the national park. The nearby beach is right there, and there are a few cafes for lunch plus a well-stocked shop about a 2-minute walk away. We also appreciated being able to use the kayaks and SUP board for free. Pinetree made us feel welcome straight away, and combines a touch of luxury with a warm, familiar feel. Ana and her staff are wonderful. The fish on our first night was incredible, and we loved the Lamb Peka the next night, though you need to request it at least 2 hours ahead. The menu is rather limited if you don't eat fish. Our room was simple and lovely, with a clean bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a TV where we could watch Netflix. Phone signal in Saplunara is limited, so the Wi-Fi was handy. One small suggestion: tea and coffee in the bedroom for the morning would be nice.

Ana, Ivo and Alberto were so welcoming and accommodating, and the food was incredible, all locally sourced. Ana even grows a lot of the produce herself in her kitchen garden up the hill. We spent 3 nights here during a 10 day trip around Croatia and absolutely loved it. The apartments are beautiful, set in a stunning bay with amazing views. There's a lovely infinity pool, a sandy beach just a 1-minute walk away, plus kayaks and a paddle board you can use for free. We can't recommend it enough and will definitely go back.

Working in hospitality, I'm often disappointed, and almost never get the kind of genuine warmth and hospitality I found at Pinetree. It was hands down the best service and warmth I've had in years. We arrived by boat and were greeted ashore by very friendly hosts who provided us with a mooring. The waterfront restaurant has an amazing view, made even better by a beautiful pink sunset. The next day, things went badly for us, though it wasn't Pinetree's fault: we were caught in a storm, our charter boat broke its mooring line, and we were washed ashore. It was a difficult experience, but the Pinetree team opened early to help. They made us breakfast and coffee free of charge, and offered us an apartment to shelter in and shower, also at no cost. We met the family owners, who simply ooze genuine warmth. I can't speak highly enough of this place. The food was amazing too, simple, with stunning fresh flavours. Special thanks to Alberto for going above and beyond to help us. Thank you again.

We loved our studio apartment. There are nice sandy beaches nearby, or you can relax by the beautiful infinity pool. The food was great, definitely try peka, and Ivo and the crew were super friendly and helpful. Great place for a vacation, highly recommend visiting PineTree.
