Hotel Miramare Njivice

The woman on staff was older and very rude and unpleasant. Our room felt more like a prison: there were bugs on the mattress, the pillows were stained yellow, the shower didn't work, the floor was dirty, and the food wasn't very nice. I think I may have ringworm now. Never stay here unless you want to go home with bedbugs and ringworm.

It's a motorcycle-friendly hotel, and thanks for letting me park on the patio. The location is fantastic, and the people at Miramar were very nice. I found the price reasonable given the positives, but I personally wouldn't stay again. Everyone smokes. Although the rooms are designated non-smoking, the balconies and patio are open to smoke, and the spaces are so small, with big doors, that it feels like people are smoking in your room. I could smell it as soon as I got off the elevator. Everything also felt old and musty. The bed blankets put me off sleeping under them, the mirrors and furniture had stains, the toilet was right against the sink, and the carpet was really old and gross. I had an allergy attack on the first evening and slept on top of the bed wearing a mask. Keeping the patio doors closed when I was out or when smoke started coming in helped on day two, but I still slept with a mask. The mini split heated the room quickly on a cold night, and I suspect it would do the same for air conditioning. I had to switch it on and off manually because it wasn't holding the temperature. Breakfast wasn't for me. The machine coffee was good enough, and the fresh bread on day two was a nice surprise, though there was no toaster. Staff were nice and even thanked me for visiting, but no one asked how the stay was, so I'm leaving this feedback here. I know prices may rise if they renovate, but the carpet and blankets that look like they're from 1980 need to go. I added pictures of the best part, the view.

I wouldn't recommend the restaurant. The food was expensive and not tasty at all. It felt like the staff's only aim was to get as much money from tourists as possible while providing very low-quality service.

We love this place and have visited every year since 2016. The rooms are a little old, but that doesn't bother us. The restaurant is great, with good food and very good waiters and service.
