The villa is handled by an agency rather than a private host, which surprised us. At check-in they required a €300 advance payment, meant to be refunded after checkout if everything was okay. The apartments themselves were modern, clean, and looked like the pictures. Security came around every night after 10 p.m. to tell people with music to turn it off. That part was acceptable, but their tone was unpleasant. The arrangement seemed professional in a way, though the agency staff's attitude toward guests was poor.

The money isn't even the main point anymore, it's a matter of principle. I booked a trip for my son and his 11 friends and paid a 10% deposit. With the pandemic happening, Novalja didn't seem like a good place to stay, and their flights were cancelled because of Corona. The deal was that cancellation was free at any time. For the first couple of weeks, the company emailed to say they were waiting for national support. Then they stopped replying. B....com got involved, and the company said it had changed owners, so it wouldn't refund my deposit. I wish I could rate this firm below one star. It's awful. I'll take the matter to court. Would you really want to stay somewhere like this? Think it over.

The bathroom smelled awful, the shower drain wouldn’t work, and the sheets were dirty. During the entire week nobody cleaned or changed the towels, so I had to sweep the room myself, with no cleaning supplies provided. Even though we were there during a festival, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. It wasn’t worth the money.

Avoid this place at any cost if you can’t stand people drinking, shouting, and blasting what they call music all night. The whole district seems full of them, and as far as I know, this is one of their favourite spots.
