Villa Antonio

The smell in apartment number 6 was unbearable and unhealthy, like an indoor swimming pool, and we had to put up with it 24/7. We had booked almost a year ahead for seven girls traveling interrail, but the photos were confusing and suggested a much more expensive type of establishment than what we found. The villa has several apartments. Ours was arranged around a staircase: downstairs were a bathroom, a room with two beds, and a bunk bed between the room and bathroom. It was like something from a kidnapping movie, with victims crammed inside. I told the owner about the situation, especially the smell. He was irresponsible and passive, offered no solution, and seemed unconcerned that he was ruining the trip for seven people. He had taken the money and, before we arrived, wrote that he wanted it in cash. Regrettable. Cockroaches showed up in the room at night. The owner, named Ozzy, responded to the guests' complaints by kicking them out and keeping €400 for that night surrounded by cockroaches. He'll reply to this with a tall tale, but this is the truth.

We were here on the 06- 12-2025. The apartment was really clean and comfortable, and the pool area was great. The staff were helpful and understanding. Ozzy was one of the main people who walked us through things. When we called, he was friendly and answered all our questions.

The two boys working at the bar were welcoming, friendly, and nice. They made our stay fun and deserve a pay rise. But this was an apartment, not a villa, and it looked nothing like the photos. Be aware that the house has several apartments. There was no private pool, the aircon didn't work for two days, the beds were broken, and the pool was always dirty. It was very noisy at 3am.

Ozzy, our villa manager, was great. He provided whatever we asked for, delivered things to our door, and even drove us to destinations. We were six people from the UK, and had a holiday to remember at what I think is the best villa in Novalja. It had excellent rooms, a living room, and a kitchen. The pool and outdoor area were great too, with a table tennis table and BBQ pit. I've already planned to come back next year for Hideout festival, and I 100% recommend it. They have several villas, including VIP Villa's across town that are even better. If you're unsure about booking this one, don't be!
